There never was a bouquet.
Rather, the tulips are the dramatis personae of a visual theater.
Each stem, leaf, petal, pistil, stamen or bud performs a particular movement: face left, face right, up, down, open or closed, forward or behind.
Whether in the role of soprano, alto, bass, tenor, or counter tenor, each element, becomes, not a flower or a bunch of flowers, but an image alternative to a musical composition.
